Eco-Tec will display its NickelPur nickel salt recovery system, which uses Recoflo ion-exchange technology with compressed beds and counter-current regeneration to recover nickel dragged out from electroplating baths into rinses. It is designed to increase operation efficiency, and decrease costs associated with replenishing nickel and disposing of sludge waste.
NikelPur works through the combination of ion exchange resin and acid sorption resin. The cation exchange and acid sorption beds are coupled to produce a concentrated, de-acidified nickel salt product. Rinse water is pumped through cartridge filters and then through the strong acid cation resin bed where the nickel is exchanged on the resin.
