Elcometer will present the Elcometer 550 MK II Uncured Powder Thickness gage, an instrument designed to speed up product and color changes, help eliminate rework and save money. The gage is an instrument that uses a novel non-contact measurement technique to accurately predict the cured thickness of a coating powder applied to most any substrate. It has all the features that you expect in a precision measuring instrument including average reading display and pre-set limits with alarm for both high and low coating thicknesses.
The gage is hand held and fully portable. Powered by an interchangeable, rechargeable battery and sealed against dust ingress, it can be used on the powder coating line immediately next to the spray booth. A fully charged battery pack has the capacity for more than 300 measurements and it is charged externally to the gage to maximize the time that the gauge can be in use.
