Electrically Driven Pumps Support Environment

BBA Pumps introduces a new line of electrically driven solids handling pumps.

BBA Pumps introduces a new line of electrically driven solids handling pumps. The auto prime pumps have a capacity of 100 m3/hour to a maximum of 6,500 m3/hour.

The pumps use IE2 electric motors to attain high efficiency and maximum performance at minimal cost, the company says. In addition to a standard control box and soft starter, the pump sets can also be provided with a frequency converter, which ensures a maximum control over the pumping process by increasing or decreasing the speed of the electric motor. It also features a GPS monitoring function, so pump installations can be operated remotely from a computer screen.

The series of pumps comes in 3” to 24” sizes, and offers large, free passage with an excellent NPSH (Net Positive Suction Head), the company says. They are designed to be environmentally friendly, and contain no oil leaking priming systems or pollutions emitted by diesel engines.

Suitable for sewage or dewatering applications, the pumps can also be deployed effectively in densely populated areas with no noise emission, the company says.
