An end-discharge vibratory finishing machine with a sound-reducing hood that opens automatically at the completion of predetermined finishing cycle is available. In addition to the automated hood, the new Model V-5 features individual compartments in its 5-cu ft capacity finishing tub, to protect delicate metal parts from contact with others in the finishing media mass. the U-shaped tub has a 1-inch-thick urethan lining that further prevents the parts from being damaged while having burrs removed or being processed to meet other user requirements. After loading parts, the operator of the automated V-5 simply pushes a start button for the sound hood to close. At the conclusion of the cycle, the machine slows down and the cover opens. Exceptionally compact, the rugged machine offers a choice of variable or constant speed drive, variable amplitude, compound spry and a bottom drainage system.
