The thickness and large-flap design of Weiler’s Big Cat abrasive flap discs enable them to conform to curved and irregular surfaces. They also are designed to last longer than standard flap discs, and their high-density Type 27 configuration adds flexibility for smoother grinding action and decreased operator fatigue. Applications include weld blending, grinding, deburring, deflashing, stock removal, surface finishing and blending, and edge chamfering.
The discs feature multiple layers of coated abrasive material to expose sharp, fresh grains as they slowly wear away. Their conformability also helps reduce gouging and undercutting.
The discs are available in both 4-1/2- and 7-inch sizes, with or without a 5/8-inch-11 nut. They are phenolic-backed and available in both aluminum oxide and zirconium.
