The GRX-70 high-speed electrolytic process from Uyemura is designed to prevent whisker formation in electroplated tin for 22,000 hours and longer. Features include high purity anode, high deposition speeds for rackless and reel-to-reel processing and high deposition efficiency over a wide current density range. GRX-70 bath is lead and fluoride free, and foam-resistant. Film has a uniform white matt appearance. Carbon and sulfur concentrations in the film are very low, according to the company. Operating range is 113-131°F, with a 122° optimum and excellent solderability.
