Vicote’s high wear-resistant coating, based on Victrex Peek polymer, a high-performance thermoplastic, is claimed to have a lifetime of up to 1.5 months (approximately 5,000 cycles), which is 30 times greater than PTFE. According to the company, the coating has varying levels of lubricants to provide good release properties, and is ideal for shoe mold and many other types of applications.
