Trans-1,2-Dichloroethylene is a next generation solvent for the precision cleaning industry that will showcased by Unistar at PCx 2011.

To help users to escape from the continuous price increasing of nPB, Unistar is working on a new project to remove or increase the flash point of 1,2-Trans. Candidates include Methylene Chloride and HFC products. The company says it has successfully increased the flash point to 50°C, with a goal of creating an affordable, steady product for the cleaning industry.

Unistar will expand its 1,2-trans production capacity to 5000MT per year. In the new plant, a new production line of PERC will also be setup simultaneously, with expected production capacity of PERC will be 10000MT/year
