The Pilot Premium from Walther Pilot is a new paint spray gun with a dynamic, ergonomic design. According to the manufacturer, the HVLP-Plus nozzle/air cap system (blue air cap) guarantees high material savings while providing an outstanding surface finish. Tests carried out by the renowned Fraunhofer IPA in accordance with the EN 13966-1 standard confirmed transfer efficiencies of up to 88%. The tests proved that the transfer efficiency is far higher than the 65% required for HVLP applications, the company says, ensuring that the spray gun will pay for itself in a short time.
The new nozzle technology combines the advantages of HVLP (high transfer efficiency) with those of conventional spraying technology (fine atomization and a high work rate). Therefore, the new spray gun produces excellent surface finishes while users do not need to change their spraying techniques. An additional feature is a new gravity feed cup made of high-grade plastic developed specifically developed for this gun. A full-surface, easily removable paint filter is included with each cup. The company also offers versions of the Pilot Premium for connecting to pressure tanks or diaphragm pumps.
