ReKon targeted ion removal systems from Kontek are fully automated and self-protected to optimize performance. They are used for a variety of applications, including raw water purification, softening and deionization; wastewater treatment; wastewater recovery and recycling; polishing; and targeted ion recovery. The ion exchange systems are fitted and fine-tuned to match individual facilities and applications.

According to the company, ReKon systems can recover and recycle as much as 95 percent of wastewater while consistently achieving compliant discharge levels. They also can automatically reprocess off-spec water prior to discharge, eliminating the possibility of non-compliance. Back-up resin beds enable one train to operates while the other regenerates. The systems enable 24/7 operation as well as reduce costs for chemicals and resin beads.
