Kolene’s Diablo and Santana pyrolysis ovens are designed for cleaning tools. The Diablo systems are low-maintenance, compact pyrolysis ovens that are designed with a controlled process for cleaning tools in a low-oxygen environment with a cycling time between 1.5 and 4 hrs. Kolene’s Santana pyrolysis systems work similarly to the Diablo, but are used for larger parts. The reactor is preheated to a chosen “stand-by temperature” before the contaminated parts are loaded on loading trays (Diablo) or on the loading platform (Santana) that is easily accessible from both sides to load and unload parts. The door closes pneumatically and the cleaning cycle is engineered to keep the unit safely closed and sealed. The company says the cleaning cycle with temperature and atmosphere control runs automatically. When the cleaning has come to an end, the parts can be unloaded. More complex multipoint cleaning cycles can be programmed to suit specific applications.
