The Raabe Company has unveiled a new platform for its line of Precision Color touch-up coatings: a lacquer for plastic surfaces. The new material is designed to be quick drying, tough and with exterior durability. According to the company, it adheres well to thermoplastic polyolefin (TPO), polypropylene (PP), sheet molding compound (SMC), and glass-filled nylon, as well as traditional substrates such as metal, wood, and coated finishes. The product   is being marketed as a touch-up platform for the automotive industry, electrical applications, and structural components. It is available in a very wide range of custom-matched gloss and color combinations, including very low gloss, which is often needed for interior automotive environments.
