Nitec® Viro-Brite combines the RoHS and ELV-compliant advantages of a lead-free, cadmium-free formula with the ability to produce exceptionally bright deposits. A 6-10% mid-phosphorus system, it is said to offer excellent bath stability, consistent plating rate, high tolerance for metallic impurities and excellent brightness throughout the life of the bath. The system deposit offers all of the same properties as traditional electroless nickel deposits, such as excellent adhesion, wear properties, hardness and a low coefficient of friction. Excellent results are said to be obtained over most substrates, including steel, cast iron, aluminum, zinc die castings, copper and copper alloys. The system is an easy-to-use, economical, drop-in system with no special equipment changes needed. This allows the user to immediately meet the demands of today’s electroless nickel customers.
