Exair has expanded its range of Long Super Ion Air Knives to include lengths from 60" (1,524 mm) 108" (2,743 mm). All knives 60" and longer are now made in a one-piece construction, ensuring seamless airflow and eliminating the need to couple multiple shorter-length air knives together. This construction also decreases overall height by half an inch, making it better for tight spaces. These air knives are available in aluminum and 303 and 316 stainless steel.

These air knives neutralize static electricity while blowing away dust and particulates from wide webs and printed surfaces, paper, plastics, wood, acrylic and three-dimensional shapes. The wide laminar airstream, which is full of static-eliminating ions, is effective at high speeds and provides superior cleaning up to 20 ft. away, according to the company. Poor print quality, dust attraction, tearing, jamming and related equipment downtime can be eliminated from processes such as laminating, printing, routing and thermoforming.

Featuring efficiency and adjustability, the knives operate effectively down to 5 psig using a minimal amount of compressed air to entrain high volumes of surrounding room air. There are no moving parts to wear out. A factory-installed plumbing kit is also available that makes it easy to connect the air knives to any plant’s compressed air system.
