MacDermid will be presenting its ChromKlad 2500, a non-etch, efficient hard chrome system that will help you eliminate the need to mask or stop-off the substrate, saving significant time and money for part preparation. The process is four times faster than conventional chromium plating systems utilizing a non halogen secondary catalyst to produce smooth, bright deposits. The system will not etch unplated areas of the substrate like a mixed catalyst system and is completely free of fluoride and other halogens. It plates an extremely hard (1100-1250 HV 100) and microcracked. This improves wear and corrosion resistance over the proprietary chromium plating systems.
