The FirstPass Power Gun™, the OptiSelect™, is the primary component of each OptiFlex manual powder coating unit. Generating 100,000 volts of first pass coating power, OptiSelect provides maximum charging at the tip of the gun, while the self-cleaning electrode ensures uniform powder particle charging and optimized transfer efficiency. One of the lightest hand guns on the market, the OptiSelect weighs in at less than 19 ounces and features an integrated cascade. Its well-balanced, ergonomic design is said to reduce hand fatigue and better suit operators with smaller hands, while the on-gun remote control allows operators to conveniently change settings without having to turn away from the work piece. OptiSelect also simplifies maintenance and reduces impact fusion with its “no powder tube” design.
The gun is controlled by the innovative OptiStar™ control unit. Producing superior repeatability, OptiStar offers operators the choice to create and store up to 20 custom programs or simply use one of the preset programs for flat parts, difficult parts or recoated parts. Digital Flow Control (DFC) within the control unit automatically adjusts all air required for powder coating, keeping the system in control at all times, preventing wasted powder, and saving money.
