Guyson Corp. has introduced a rotary blast system with a cam indexer that is sufficiently accurate to interface with a robotic loader, enabling unmanned operation of the automated blasting machine. The Model RX-1400 is capable of cycle times faster than a human machine tender could support. Equipped with linear traversing clusters of blast guns at two blasting stations, the RX-1400 can be configured with six part-holding fixtures around the perimeter of its 68-inch diameter turntable. Each fixture has a pneumatically actuated gripper to secure the component during indexing, blasting and air wash blow-off. A machine-tending robot is especially useful when components must be turned over for production of an identical finish on both sides and all edges of relatively flat components. The motions of unloading, flipping and loading is performed at very high speed and with exact part placement. For information, please visit Guyson.com
