Sinto Surface Treatment (formerly Finishing Associates) has expanded its line of Patented Dry Finishing Systems to include Centrifugal Barrel and Vibratory Machines. The innovative, new dry systems provide an alternative for manufacturers conducting deburring or descaling finishing processes with water and compounds. The company says the dry deburring process eliminates the need for waste water treatment and the use of compounds. It’s also a fully-automated operation allowing for greater consistency and a lower operating cost. Additional advantages of the dry deburring process are reductions in rusting, in sticking or deformation of thin parts and in surface hardening of parts. Sinto says the dry process was initially available in a centrifugal disk format, the new applications for centrifugal barrel and vibratory machines can be used in a more diverse range of facilities’ finishing requirements and allows the most suitable machine technology to be selected for the application from full automation to cells.
