Bulk Chemicals will showcase its ZircaSil technology, a metal pretreatment designed to replace traditional iron and zinc phosphates. This homogeneous inorganic coating forms a layer of a nano-metallic matrix on metal surfaces that is uniform and protective, and thinner than iron and zinc phosphates, but equal in performance, the company says. It can be applied by spray or immersion process and can be used for virtually all metals. Advantages include faster process times, fewer chemicals, lower energy costs and lower water usage.
