Mighty Hook has developed an integrated rack and mask device that enables a heat sink area to be washed and then masked before it is painted. The part is washed while the cantilevered mechanical mask is in the open position, and then the device is flipped closed prior to coating.
According to the company, the rack/mask is constructed of a durable material to maintain tolerances after continuous burn-off stripping. It also eliminates the material and labor costs associated with tape masking the area, resulting in cost savings.
Mighty Hook also has developed a multi-setting expansion mask for exhaust tubes in an overhead conveyor application. The masks are inserted into tubes of various large diameters to create a tight seal and keep the insides of the tubes clean as they undergo wash and powder coating processes.
