Praher Plastics designed its modular industrial ball valve M1 with Industry 4.0 in mind. The product features smart automation of production processes with position feedback, for which the company says the manual ball valve shares information about the open or closed position to a central control unit.

Features of the M1 include a lock-out, tag-out handle, a buttress thread for fitting of the union nuts, an integrated bracket for fix-point mounting and integrated fixations for the modular adapter set: one-piece injected valve body. A clamping piece can be installed for socket or spigot endings, or as spacer element for flange connections. The valve is now available in PVDF and PP, silicone-free, dimensions from ½"-2", and is designed for pressure ratings up to 235 psi.
