D-Greeze 7880, from Solvent Kleene Inc., is a VOC-free, non-alkaline industrial degreaser/cleaner designed to offer performance comparable to that of a conventional solvent-based product without exposing users and the environment to toxic components or emissions.

D-Greeze 7880, from Solvent Kleene Inc., is a VOC-free, non-alkaline industrial degreaser/cleaner designed to offer performance comparable to that of a conventional solvent-based product without exposing users and the environment to toxic components or emissions. D-Greeze 7880 is biodegradable, non-flammable, non-corrosive and non-reactive, the company says.

A drop-in replacement for hazardous degreaser/cleaners, the cleaner is compatible with most existing degreasing methods and equipment, including immersion tanks, parts washers and spray wands. It has a neutral pH, so it is suitable for use with all painted and unpainted ferrous and non-ferrous metals; including aluminum, anodized aluminum, carbon steel, stainless steel, magnesium, zinc, titanium and dichrome treated titanium as well as most non-metals. While many other cleaners must be heated to high temperatures, D-Greeze 7880 is designed to perform at room temperature.

The agent's low volatility causes little or no loss due to evaporation. According to the company, this feature, combined with the ability to easily remove oil/grease contaminants from the cleaner, helps extend its useful life beyond than that of most conventional solvents. Its longer useful life reduces both the amount of hazardous waste generated and the need to replenish the solution.
