DeFelsko's PosiTector PC Powder Checker measures uncured powder coatings using ultrasonic technology to automatically calculate and display a predicted cured thickness.
With no wires or cables to risk disturbing the powder, users can affordably measure powder thickness before curing, the company says. The instrument helps control powder consumption to ensure adequate coverage and reduce waste. Advanced new technology allows measurement on small tubes, odd shapes and moving parts.
According to DeFelsko, its checker features an internal memory of up to 1,000 readings with no software required for downloading. The gage continually displays/updates basic statistics and automatically generates formatted reports with measurement summaries and charts.
