E-Brite Ultra Cu is a non-cyanide alkaline copper plating process that is said to eliminate hazardous cyanide and its associated costs. The process is said to require no separate strike and has improved adhesion when plated directly on die cast zinc, steel, brass, copper, stainless steel, zincated aluminum and sulfamate nickel surfaces. The process's copper deposit is fine-grained, smooth, dense and ductile—increasing density, improving coverage and providing excellent heat treat stop off and masking properties—with no carbonates to be treated.
