Koch says its EnergySmart Max is designed to provide more flexible oven control than other industrial ovens, saving as much as 40 percent compared to a standard finishing system oven. The oven features a small, fixed-speed exhaust fan, and a larger, variable-frequency-driven supplemental exhaust fan. This two-fan arrangement satisfies Factory Mutual and NFPA requirements while increasing the operator’s control over the exhaust rate. Exhaust is the largest heat loss in most paint curing ovens. The oven can provide rapid purge or high dilution rates, and exhaust rates can be optimized to save energy and minimize operating cost.
