Oxford Instruments Coating Measurement (OICM) will be introducing the Model 150 gage, for the measurement of non-conductive coatings (i.e. Paint, Powder Coatings) on non-ferrous substrates (i.e. Aluminum, Copper) and non-magnetic coatings (i.e. Paint, Powder Coatings, Chrome) on ferrous substrates (i.e. Steel). The gauge detects whether the underlying substrate is ferrous or non-ferrous and then employs the correct test method (either eddy current or magnetic induction).
The model 150 is a full-featured gage that packs the electronics and probe into one compact unit for single-handed versatility and simplicity. It requires no user calibration since it is factory calibrated. The gage comes with a mobile case and belt clip for easy portability and use. State-of-the-art technology is said to ensure accurate and repeatable measurements for various coating applications. Battery-operated and weighing 2.3 ounces, it is designed to be one of the smallest, most convenient gauges in the industry.
