Oxford Instruments’s X-MET7000 eXpress handheld x-ray fluorescence analyzer is designed to quickly deliver accurate analysis, lower limits of detection and improved precision when measuring trace elements.
The device is said to analyze, verify and screen materials as much as four times faster than the X-MET7000 QuickSort, which can be critical when dealing with large volumes of samples in limited time, as in the scrap and PMI markets, and the environmental testing industry.
The X-MET7000 eXpress includes the company’s 40-kV x-ray tube and high-resolution, high-count-rate silicon-drift detector (SDD), as well as a library of more than 1,600 alloy grades to ensure accurate identification of metals. Other features include a 4.3-inch transmissive LCD touchscreen with intuitive and easy-to-read graphical user interface, and 10-12 hours battery life. Reports can be customized and downloaded on a USB memory stick or to a laptop using a USB connection or WiFi.
