Solvent Kleene’s D-Zolve 1012 is a fast acting, non-hazardous stripper designed to be used at room temperature to remove paint, electrocoat and powder coating. The product is said to quickly penetrate and break the chemical bond between a coating’s layers and the substrate, eliminating the need for costly, high-energy-consuming burnoff, blasting or heating of the solution. According to the company, the stripper is non-flammable, non-toxic, and does not contain any ozone depleting components or carcinogenic compounds. The product is said to be compatible with most ferrous and non-ferrous metals including aluminum, copper, brass, stainless steels, and carbon steels as well as plastic and silicone substrates. To help select the most suitable formulation for a particular need, the company provides free testing and samples.
