Enthone Inc. offers its ENLube Plus advanced, PFOS-free PTFE dispersion system that, when used in combination with an Enthone electroless nickel (EN) process, produces EN PTFE coatings with high wear resistance. Engineered to meet automotive, industrial, defense and electronics application requirements, this system is capable of 50-percent increases in deposition rates with a PTFE build-in rate as high as 30 percent versus conventional EN PTFE systems, according to the company.

This PTFE product eliminates the need to inventory multiple dispersions and EN processes while meeting exacting OEM requirements. It produces extremely smooth and uniform deposits that are not prone to “orange peel” appearances or edge pullback. Capable of plating high thicknesses, the system is PFOS- and Cd/Pb-free and maintains a shelf life of 12 months.

The company offers its ENfinity and ENPlate electroless nickel processes in conjunction with the dispersion system.
