Precious Metal Sales – Sur/Fin 2014, Booth 541

PM Sales offers three types of platinized anodes for plating: platinum-plated, platinum-clad and Platinode.

Platinum-plated titanium anodes are the most inexpensive and can be re-plated. They have normal high and low spots for an average thickness of 50, 100 or 150 microinches. Platinum-clad niobium (columbium) anodes are available in both 125- and 250- microinch thickness, in single or double-sided varieties. Platinode anodes are the most expensive of the three but also provide the most uniform platinum coating that lasts the longest. They are available in either 60- or 100-microinch thickness. Manufacturing of complex shapes are possible with Platinode anodes.
