A process oven built by Jackson Oven Supply features a jack-mount afterburner to vent smoke and odor generated in the oven chamber through a powered exhauster. The oven operates as high as 500°F, and the afterburner maintains an exhaust-air-stream temperature of 1,400-1,500°F for a minimum of ½-sec dwell-time. The resultant effluent discharged to the atmosphere consists of water vapor and carbon dioxide, and meets federal and state guidelines, the company says.
