PVDdi-120 Viscometer by Stony Brook Enables Efficiency

PVDdi-120 is used for a number of different applications to measure Newtonian and non-Newtonian fluids.

The PDVdi-120 by Stony Brook Scientific Ltd. is an accurate, low-cost and lightweight field viscometer that can be taken anywhere to measure the viscosity of Newtonian and non-Newtonian fluids. The PDVdi-120 is a portable viscometer that includes the main body with two reusable syringes, falling needle, stopwatch, digital thermometer, an instruction manual and carrying case.

The viscometer is used for a number of different applications and includes features such as a field viscosity test, absolute viscosity measurement without instrument calibration, multiple measurements with single samples, easy cleaning and maintenance and quick measurements with immediate results.

The viscosity of the sample is determined by measuring the falling time of a needle through a predetermined distance (between two markings on the extension bar attached to the needle) within the fluids held in the reusable syringe. The falling time can be measured manually with the included stopwatch.
