Rex-Cut’s Smooth Touch Type 1 cotton-fiber abrasive wheels are designed to be an effective alternative to unitized wheels for automated stainless steel deburring and finishing applications. The wheels are made from cotton fiber, and impregnated with abrasives and a proprietary bond to create a dense yet flexible wheel that constantly reveals fresh abrasives as it works.
Comparable to conventional 5-9 density unitized wheels, the Rex-Cut Smooth Touch wheels are designed for use at up to 30,000 rpm, depending upon diameter and thickness. They are available in coarse, medium and fine grits in 2-, 3-, 4- and 6-inch diameter sizes, 1/8-, 1/4- and 1/2-inch thick, and they can be dressed and used for a variety of finishing applications.
