Sifco Applied Surface Concepts’ nickel-tungsten deposit is designed to be a green alternative to chromium for repair and manufacturing applications that require exceptionally hard plating. It was developed for aerospace, automotive, oil and gas, and other industries where the hardness of the surface is critical.
According to Sifco, the chromium-free deposit is one of the hardest chromium alternatives available today and meets the hydrogen embrittlement characteristics of ASTM F519 without a relief bake.
Sifco’s Zhimin Zhong will speak at SUR/FIN 2012 on the topic of “Brush Plating of Nickel-Tungsten Alloy for Engineering Applications.”
