Seco Tools displayed several small-diameter cutting tools that are designed to increase productivity and provide longer tool life for mold machining.
Offered in diameters from 0.75" to 2.5" and with a maximum cutting depth of 0.157", Square 6-04 shoulder milling cutters are suited for general machining operations on small and medium milling machines, including square shoulder milling, face milling, slotting, plunging and slotting by plunging.
The High Feed 2 high-feed milling cutter provides high feed rates at small depths of cut for applications such as pocketing, ramping, helical interpolation, facing, contouring, slotting and plunging. Cutter diameters range from 0.625" to 1.25".
Available in diameters from 1" to 5", the Double Octomill-05 face milling cutter is suited for small machines and applications requiring maximum depths of cut of 0.118". This cutter uses inserts that provide 16 numbered cutting edges to minimize cost per edge and per part. Insert pockets feature 8-degree negative angles for using double-sided inserts, while inserts use positive rake angles to minimize power consumption.
