The latest upgrade to Elcometer’s 456 coating thickness gage includes a live reading trend graph that enables users to view the last 20 measurement values as they take readings. Other enhancements include double the memory of the 456 models S and T gages, enabling users to store as many as 150,000 readings in 2,500 batches; a calibration pin code lock the prevents users from accidentally changing calibration settings; and a the ability to bring the gage display back to life by simply tapping the screen.
Customers can connect their gages to a web-enabled PC running ElcoMaster 2.0 data management software and the on-screen instructions will guide them through the free upgrade process.
The gage is available in a range of models for measuring dry film thickness on both ferrous and non-ferrous metal substrates, with a measurement capability to ±1 percent on smooth, rough, thin and curved surfaces. It outputs readings via Bluetooth or USB to the ElcoMaster software or the ElcoMaster for Android App, creating inspection reports in the office or on site.
