Spec Sciences Inc.’s SGUS12 is a series of flammable liquid-safe ultrasonic cleaning systems designed with a 104" × 20" opening to enable cleaning of print gravures using methyl ethyl ketone. This unit uses nitrogen purge, approved electrical devices and intrinsic safe voltages to maintain safe operation. It has 4,000 W of ultrasonic power and has agitation frequencies ranging from 44 to 132 kHz throughout the tank to enable ink removal from the print holes. A ⅓-hp explosion-proof pump sweeps particles and dissolved solids from the parts during operation.
