D-Zolve from is designed to remove powder coating buildup from plugs and other standard or custom molded maskings, extending the useful live of these devices and reducing replacement costs. Designed to safely remove powder coatings from a range of materials such as silicone and neoprene, the solvent is said to efficiently remove several layers of buildup from self-threading to dual-flanged pull plugs.
When used in an immersion tank, its special properties lift layers of paint and break the chemical bond between the powder coating and the substrate. When this bond breaks, the paint layers pull away from the surface and fall to the bottom of the tank.
To further facilitate the stripping process, the company also offers Kleeneze 404, which forms a mono-molecular film on new or stripped masking devices. This film inhibits the bond between the powder coating and the substrate so buildups can be removed more easily and quickly.
