Applied Plastics’ Teflon powder coatings include standard formulations such as Teflon PTFE, FEP, PFA, Tefzel ETFE, Teflon S, Halar, ECTFE, Kynar and Xylan, or can be custom formulated for customer requirements. The coatings are electrostatically applied from 0.0002- to 0.025-inch thick, depending on the coating and substrate, for chemical and corrosion resistance to parts as heavy as 2,000 lbs.
Suitable for single parts or high-quantity production runs, Applied Plastics’ powder coating service includes proper surface preparation and subsequent baking to ensure a uniform finish that resists abrasion, chemical attack, corrosion and mechanical damage, the company says. Typical parts include valves, pumps, mixers, chutes, handles and tanks.
