Progressive Components and sister companies AST Technology, ToolingDocs and Roehr Tool Corp., will present a variety of new and advanced technologies in their shared Booth 3901.

Progressive will feature a selection of mechanical solutions for part release and alignment, including its newly standardized Z-Series alignment locks, as well as lifters, CAM actions and latch locks. Recently introduced brass cooling items and a variety of date marking components also will be highlighted.

In addition to its full array of services, which includes Design for Manufacture (DFM), standard tooling and engineering, process development and optimization, and assessment and training, AST Technology will feature the latest edition of its CVe Live remote mold monitoring system. This system enables users to view mold activity in real time, no matter where their molds are running, using a customized website interface and the CVe monitor.

ToolingDocs will showcase its growing list of certification training programs, including multi-level maintenance courses taught in both English and Spanish. The company offers them at a variety of locations in the U.S. and Mexico, and says it plans to expand to Canada and Europe this year. Other ToolingDocs products include maintenance capability assessments, on-site training and total systems implementation.

Roehr Tool, in cooperation with Toyo/Maruka USA, will demonstrate the benefits of its new Sub-10 mm Dovetail (DT) collapsible cores by molding actual medical device fittings in the booth on a Toyo electric molding press. The cores are designed to mold a very small threaded or snap-fit medical part without the use of hydraulics, while streamlining the overall size of the mold and simplifying it for easy setup and molding operation.
