Grieve Corp.’s No. 946 is a 1000°F, electrically heated walk-in oven suitable for curing coatings on titanium screens. For power, 360 kW are installed in the oven’s Incoloy-sheathed tubular heating elements. A 24,500-cfm, 20-hp recirculating blower provides a vertical downward airflow to the workload.

The oven features 8" insulated walls with a Type 304L, 2B-finish stainless steel interior; a stainless steel exterior with no. 4 brushed finish; and a 6" insulated floor with integral truck wheel guide tracks to ease loading and unloading. The front and rear double doors have inner and outer door gaskets. The inner gasket seals against the door plug, while the outer gasket seals directly against the front of the oven. Also included is a removable, top-mounted heat chamber.

Safety equipment such as explosion-venting door hardware is included onboard for handling flammable solvents. Other features include a digital programming temperature controller, a manual reset excess temperature controller with separate contactors, a recirculating blower airflow safety switch and an SCR power controller.
