Walmec North America’s 0.01-micron SuperStar is a four-stage filtration system designed to provide clean, dry, compressed air that removes vapors and contaminates down to 0.01 micron. The system is available with flow ranges of 50, 75 or 100 scfm, and it can handle pressure ratings as high as 250 psi. It is said to work best when installed at or near the point of use.

The system’s first- and second-stage filters remove moisture, liquids, dust, rust, scale and other contaminants to 5 microns. An automatic float drain under the second-stage filter opens and expels all collected liquids whenever an ounce or more is present. The third and fourth stages then remove any remaining particles down to 0.01 microns and absorb any remaining vapors.

The filtration system includes a differential pressure gage that indicates when maintenance is required. This maintenance can be completed by installing the appropriate service kit, without removing the unit from the compressed air system.
