NOF Metal Coatings North America offers Geomet, a water-based, corrosion-resistant coating for ferrous metals that contains metal oxides, metallic zinc and aluminum flakes. The zinc and aluminum platelets align in multiple layers, forming a metallic silver film. Applied as a liquid, the coating is totally inorganic after thermal curing. Inorganic silicate sealers, and black or colored topcoats, are applied over the basecoat to extend corrosion protection and to provide consistent torque tension values, the company says.

NOF Metal Coatings also provides Dacromet basecoats, Plus sealers and LTX Series coating systems. It also is offering technical support workshops in its headquarters in Chardon, Ohio, related to dip-spin and spray techniques for zinc flake coatings.
