West Control Solutions’ Pro Series of temperature controllers offer two PID sets for greater precision control in challenging applications. Using the two PID sets enables the user to tune for accurate control of a wide range of set points or various products with different thermal characteristics, the company says.
The controller series includes three units, the Pro-4, the Pro-8 and the compact Pro-16, all of which offer six outputs and as many as four digital inputs, plus a built-in profiler for a varied set point at each process stage. The controllers also offer the flexibility to customize menus, thus speeding up manual control by making frequently used functions available at a keystroke. The BlueControl configuration and simulation software enables a test configuration to be carried out locally on a PC.
Typical applications include industrial ovens and furnaces, chiller and refrigeration systems, and plastics and rubber extrusion applications where processes such as non-linear cooling, heater current input and boost functions are commonly required.
