Since our beginning in 1963, Dynapower has grown to become the global leader in the design and manufacture of custom AC and DC power supplies and custom transformers. The product scope now includes system solutions with ratings from 10 kilowatts to 50 megawatts. Our 200,000 square foot facility, built in 1991 in Burlington, Vermont, is the only facility fully dedicated to this industry in the United States. Included in our vertically integrated plant is the capability to manufacture complete power systems, transformers of all types, vacuum cast epoxy (cast coil), oil filled, and vacuum pressure impregnated (VPI) dry and liquid-cooled units. Also within our design and control are enclosures, heatsink assemblies, panel wiring, final assembly, and the most comprehensive test bay in the industry. Our continued growth is attributable to a constant commitment to research and development, product improvement, and acquisition. We continue our expanded scope of supply by working closely with industries. From metals to medical and from electrochemical to mining, we have continued to design and develop system solutions. In September 2002, with the acquisition of our largest competitor Rapid Power Technologies, we are now able to provide the most comprehensive products available. Rapid Power, the largest power supply manufacturer who has been in business for over 60 years, continues to support its global customer base.
