The main benefits of optimization include machining time reduction; a more consistent chip load; cutter wear is minimized; constant cutting pressure between the NC machine tool and the workpiece; constant cutting pressure reduces variable forces on the axis motors, leading to smoother NC machine tool operation; a better finish, and machinists are less frequently required to stop and change tools or inserts.
