What is first-pass transfer efficiency? It is defined as the amount of powder applied to the part compared to the total amount of powder sprayed by the application equipment. There are many variables to consider in achieving first-pass transfer efficiency. These variables and the applications that can affect first-pass transfer efficiency are discussed in this section (Figure 2).
