It has now been four years since the U.S. economy emerged from the Great Recession, and the best way to describe the current economic situation is that we are holding steady. For the past four years the rate of growth in the U.S. GDP has been right around 2% per year. This is the longest period of sub-3% annual growth since the Great Depression started in 1929. But I do not expect a recession anytime soon. In fact, I expect growth to accelerate.

PSA to Close a Paris R&D Facility

GM to Invest $45 Million in Michigan Logistics Center

 Posted: May 22, 2013 at 3:07 pmGeneral Motors Co. plans to spend $45 million to erect a logistics facility next to its Grand River assembly plant in Lansing, Mich.GM aims to open the center late next year and employ 200 people there, some of them new hires.Those workers will assemble and sequence parts for the nearby factory, which builds the Cadillac ATS compact sedan and CTS midsize cars.
