Axalta Forms Partnership with National Transportation Center
Axalta will provide its interactive, commercial transportation curriculum for use in NTC’s Heavy Truck Collision course, which focuses on training military veterans how to properly prepare substrates and successfully complete the truck refinishing process.
Axalta Coating Systems has launched a partnership with the National Transportation Center (NTC), the nation’s first centralized training and employment center created to support the commercial transportation industry’s critical and long-term training, workforce recruitment and retention efforts.
The NTC provides training for individuals interested in working in the commercial transportation repair and maintenance field, offering educational classes and apprenticeships, and connecting them with job opportunities.
Axalta says it is happy to extend its training resources to NTC and positively impact the future of the transportation industry. The company will provide its interactive, commercial transportation curriculum for use in NTC’s Heavy Truck Collision course, which focuses on training military veterans how to properly prepare substrates and successfully complete the truck refinishing process. The course will be held monthly and administered by NTC field personnel. Axalta will supply its ColorNet color retrieval software and the color tools needed for students to effectively take the course.
“It’s truly a pleasure to partner with the NTC and lead efforts to influence the best practices for the trucking industry,” says Marcy Fernandez, Axalta’s national fleet manager. “We are excited to see how this new relationship will prepare current and future workers, and improve the industry for the next generation.”
