CCAI Accepting Scholarship Applications
Students must be enrolled in programs that could lead to a career in the finishing industry to apply.
The Chemical Coaters Association International (CCAI) national office is accepting applications for the Matt Heuertz Scholarship Program through April 1, 2020.
Bill Oney, left, CCAI national president and Bruce Bryan, CCAI vice president of sales and education, present a Matt Heuertz Scholarship to Kolt Knutson at the 2019 Wisconsin Chapter Jim Steffes Memorial Golf Outing.
Visit ccaiweb.com after Jan. 1 to apply, and select the education tab to complete the application and provide a transcript or other grade verification, plus a resume with photo. Students must be enrolled in programs that could lead to a career in the finishing industry.
Applications will be reviewed by the CCAI Finishing Education Foundation board of directors. Applications will also be sent to the regional chapters that provide additional scholarship funding for students in their area. Award amounts vary and are determined by the foundation and individual chapters. Scholarship recipients will also receive a free one-year CCAI student membership.
CCAI has awarded more than $100,000 scholarship dollars over the past five years. The primary objective of this program is to encourage students to pursue advanced education in finishing technologies. Awards will be announced in June at CCAI’s annual meeting in Whitefish, Montana.
CCAI also created a Careers in Finishing Guide for anyone interested in learning more about the variety of career opportunities available in the industry. It can be downloaded at ccaiweb.com/student.
